Volleyball Recap: Raft River Takes a Loss

After flying high against Glenns Ferry on Monday, Raft River came back down to earth. The Trojans came up short against the Hagerman Pirates on Wednesday, falling 3-0. The Trojans have struggled against the Pirates recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Leading Hagerman to victory were Addi Chizum and Payge Nyborg. Chizum had 25 digs and four assists, while Nyborg had six digs and three aces. Those three aces gave Nyborg a new career-high.

Raft River's defeat dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Hagerman, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 16 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-4 record this season.

Raft River does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hagerman, they will face off against Murtaugh at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
