Basketball Recap: Filer Takes a Loss

Filer lost against Wendell back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Filer Wildcats fell to the Wendell Trojans 65-60. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Wendell's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jonathan Swainston, who went 9 for 16 on his way to 30 points and three steals. Swainston's afternoon made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. Jordon Swainston was another key player, putting up 17 points.

Filer's defeat dropped their record down to 10-8. As for Wendell, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.

Filer wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 69-47 victory against Buhl on the 4th. As for Wendell, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 67-61 win against Gooding on the 3rd.
