The  win made it two in a row for Fargo South and  bumps their season record up to 8-6. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.5 runs across that stretch. As for Shanley, they have  traveled a rocky road recently, having  lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record  this season.
The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Shanley beat Fargo South by a score of  3-1 later that day.
