Basketball Recap: Highland Prep West Comes Up Short

Highland Prep West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They fell 33-20 to the Odyssey Institute Minotaur.

Odyssey Institute's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Adamaris Aguilar, who posted seven points and eight steals. Another player making a difference was Shelby Hunt, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.

Highland Prep West's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Odyssey Institute, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-5.

Highland Prep West wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 71-7 defeat against Payson on the 4th. As for Odyssey Institute, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 34-12 loss against St. Augustine Catholic on the 4th.
