Exeter has gone a perfect 4-0 against Merrimack recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Blue Hawks will host the Tomahawks at 4:00 p.m. The timing is sure in Exeter's favor as the squad sits on 15 straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Merrimack has been banged up by seven consecutive losses on the road also dating back to last season.

Exeter is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of New Hampshire's top teams: Trinity, who was ranked seventh at the time (Exeter was ranked second). The Blue Hawks were the clear victors by an 11-5 margin over the Pioneers on Friday. Considering the Blue Hawks have won four games by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Exeter got a great performance from Nolan Engler as he pitched 5.2 innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits.

On the hitting side, Hayden Schimoler was incredible, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of John Bakker, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with three runs and one RBI.

Pinkerton hit Merrimack with a five-run fourth inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Tomahawks came up short against the Astros, falling 11-1.

Exeter's win bumped their record up to 9-0. As for Merrimack, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6-1.

Everything went Exeter's way against Merrimack when the teams last played back in May of 2019, as Exeter made off with an 8-0 victory. Will the Blue Hawks repeat their success, or do the Tomahawks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
