Recap: Highlander Charter vs. Central Falls Warriors

Highlander Charter's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight loss. Their tough 58-35 defeat to Central Falls might stick with them for a while. Highlander Charter was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Central Falls apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.

Central Falls' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Moises Maldonando, who scored 16 points along with four steals. Maldonando has been hot recently, having posted 16 or more points the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Julian Ortiz, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds and four steals.

Highlander Charter's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Central Falls, the victory (which was their 13th in a row) raised their record to 15-5.

Highlander Charter does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Central Falls, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Blackstone Valley Prep at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. Central Falls has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 250 points over their last four games.
