Softball Recap: Middleton Continues Home Dominance on Tuesday

Middleton won the last time they faced Skyview and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Vikings won by a run and slipped past the Hawks 4-3. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Vikings.

Middleton's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Natalie Miklancic, who scored a run while going 2-for-2. Another was Kenadi Whitlow, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Middleton pushed their record up to 16-3 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Skyview, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-11.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Middleton will venture away from home to square off against Nampa at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Vikings' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bulldogs have averaged an impressive 9.1 runs per game this season. As for Skyview, they will take on Vallivue at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Falcons will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Hawks surely won't give up without a fight.
