Football Game Preview: Archer Tigers vs. Grovetown Warriors + How To Watch

The Archer Tigers will square off against the Grovetown Warriors at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Archer has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 117 points over their last three contests.

On Friday, Archer got the win against Rockdale County by a conclusive 38-14. The victory continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won six in a row.

Archer's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jordan Do led the charge by rushing for 50 yards and a pair of touchdowns, while also throwing for 187 yards and two TDs. Do's passing game has become a key predictor of the Tigers' success: the team is 2-1 when his passer rating is 110 or higher, but only 1-2 otherwise. Tyree Begne was another key back, gaining 182 total yards.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Archer was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 240 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 171 rushing yards in three consecutive games.

Everything came up roses for Archer against Grovetown in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 42-14 victory. In that matchup, the Tigers amassed a halftime lead of 42-7, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
