While Konawa's win against Strother wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Konawa Tigers narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Strother Yellowjackets 6-4. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Yellowjackets recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Tyler Whitley was excellent, scoring a run and stealing Four bases. while going 2-for-4. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March of 2024.

Konawa was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .407. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .303 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.

Konawa's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Strother, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Looking ahead, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Konawa Tigers duke it out with Earlsboro Wildcats at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Strother, they will venture away from home to challenge Varnum at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
