Basketball Recap: Anna Kate Huggins Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Dillon Christian

There's no place like home for Florence Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They strolled past the Dillon Christian Warriors with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 39-22. The squad ran away with 29 points in the first half and mostly just sat on those to pick up the victory.

Florence Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Anna Kate Huggins, who posted 12 points and four steals. Emerson Poston was another key player, putting up eight points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals.

The win got Florence Christian back to even at 8-8. As for Dillon Christian, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-6.

Florence Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 30-19 victory against Williamsburg Academy on the 21st. Dillon Christian has also already played their next matchup (against Lee Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
