Softball Recap: Rouse's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Nine

Rouse extended their postseason success on Friday against Carroll. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Tigers a 3-0 shutout. Winning may never get old, but the Raiders sure are getting used to it with their ninth in a row.

Blakely Barber was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 13 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run.

In other batting news, Ciana Arguijo was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three stolen bases and two runs. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in April. Madilynn George was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one stolen base.

Rouse's record is now 22-9-2. As for Carroll, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 28-6.

Rouse will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Tigers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled on Saturday.
