Basketball Recap: West Union Comes Up Short + How To Watch

West Union lost against Shannon two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Eagles were outmatched by the Red Raiders and fell 73-34. The Eagles were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 48-19.

Shannon was led to victory by Kirsten Evans and Cambry Shannon. Evans shot 65% from the field to rack up 26 points and five steals, while Shannon went 9-for-14 on her way to 23 points and four steals. With that strong performance, Shannon is now averaging an impressive 15.2 points per game. Another player making a difference was Moriah Shells, who posted eight points.

West Union's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Shannon, they moved to 3-3 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

West Union wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 52-51 victory against Myrtle on the 21st. As for Shannon, they have also already played their next game, a 65-55 loss against New Site on the 24th.
