Volleyball Game Preview: St. Francis DeSales Stallions vs. Granville Blue Aces

The St. Francis DeSales Stallions will be taking part in a tournament against the Granville Blue Aces at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Granville will challenge a team with plenty of momentum: St. Francis DeSales extended their winning streak to three on Thursday. The Stallions were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Whitehall-Yearling.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: St. Francis DeSales took every set by at least 14 points. The final score came out to 25-2, 25-5, 25-11.

Granville hadn't beaten Hamilton Township on the road since October 14, 2017 but that history sure didn't bother them on Thursday. The Blue Aces put the hurt on the Rangers with a sharp 3-0 win.

Granville was especially dominant in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-18, 25-18.

Granville's victory bumped their record up to 10-13. As for St. Francis DeSales, their win bumped their record up to 16-7.

Everything went St. Francis DeSales' way against Granville in their previous matchup two weeks ago, as St. Francis DeSales made off with a 3-0 victory. Will the Stallions repeat their success, or do the Blue Aces have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
