Basketball Recap: Hernando Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Hernando Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a blow against the Classical Prep Lions, falling 56-15. Hernando Christian Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-11.

Despite the defeat, Hernando Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Madison Miguel posted seven points and three steals. The dominant performance gave Miguel a new career-high in steals. Another player making a difference was Grace Pauls, who earned two points and six rebounds.

Classical Prep's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kaelyn Malloy, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 11 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Mia Milanes, who went 7 of 16 on her way to 18 points and four steals.

Hernando Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Classical Prep, they pushed their record up to 8-7 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.
