Amundsen extended their winning streak to three on Saturday, bumping them up to 19-7. They never let the Von Steuben Panthers get on the board and left with a 12-0 win. Considering the Vikings have won 14 matchups by more than six runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Lydia Hulliberger, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Estella Kerstetter, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs and one double.

Amundsen hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in eight consecutive games.

As for Von Steuben, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-3. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for they, who until this contest were averaging 3.57 runs allowed.

On Von Steuben's side, they saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ishani Van Dyck, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple. That triple marked the first that Van Dyck has hit this season.

Coming up, Amundsen will challenge New Trier at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for Von Steuben, they will host Jones at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.8 runs per game on average), something the Panthers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
