Basketball Recap: Sedgwick County's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak on the Road

After flying high against Garden County last Tuesday, Sedgwick County came back down to earth. The Sedgwick County Cougars fell 59-49 to the Perkins County Plainsmen on Thursday. The Cougars have struggled against the Plainsmen recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Sedgwick County's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 8-3. As for Perkins County, they pushed their record up to 13-4 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Sedgwick County won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Akron at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. That matchup will pit two of the most dominant forwards against one another: Caleb Poss and Joshua Palic. Perkins County has already played their next game (against Maxwell), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
