Softball Recap: Loris Lions vs. Battery Creek Dolphins
Loris stacked a 12th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Wednesday. They blew past the Battery Creek Dolphins 11-1. The win was nothing new for Loris as they're now sitting on four straight.
Jessie Cartrette was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and only two hits while striking out 14 over six innings pitched. Cartrette was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base.
In other batting news, Haley Spence was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four runs, two triples, and a double. Another player making a difference was Emmie Spivey, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI and two doubles.
Loris is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 21-6 record this season. As for Battery Creek, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-9.
