Baseball Game Preview: St. Thomas Aquinas Falcons vs. Fontainebleau Bulldogs

St. Thomas Aquinas and Fontainebleau are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2022, but likely not for long. The Falcons are taking a road trip to square off against the Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Thomas Aquinas will be strutting in after a win while Fontainebleau will be coming in after a loss.

St. Thomas Aquinas took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. Everything went their way against Independence as they made off with a 10-0 victory. The high-scoring effort was just what the Falcons needed considering they were shut out in their previous match.

Meanwhile, Fontainebleau fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Northshore on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 5-3. The Bulldogs' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

St. Thomas Aquinas' win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-15. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Fontainebleau, their loss dropped their record down to 11-13.
