Basketball Recap: Santa Monica Takes a Loss

If Santa Monica was feeling good fresh off their 78-26 takedown of Antelope Valley last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Santa Monica Vikings had to suffer through a 90-51 loss at the hands of the Inglewood Sentinels. The Vikings lost against the Sentinels in their previous head to head back in December of 2021, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 59-57 score last time.

Santa Monica's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-8. As for Inglewood, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-5.

Santa Monica will take on Buckley at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Inglewood, they will square off against Centennial at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
