Baseball Recap: ALA - West Foothills Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

ALA - West Foothills waltzed into their game on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Everything went their way against the Phoenix Country Day Eagles as they made off with a 10-1 win.

Jaxson Garvey looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. What's more, he gave up only one walk, the fewest he's had since back in April of 2024.

On the hitting side, Gabe Kellett was incredible, firing off two home runs, six RBI, and four runs while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. Those four runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Alvarez, who scored four runs and stole Three bases. while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances.

ALA - West Foothills' record now sits at 3-1. As for Phoenix Country Day, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

ALA - West Foothills didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 7-2 loss against Gilbert Christian on the 4th. As for Phoenix Country Day, they have also already played their next contest, a 7-6 victory against Bisbee on the 1st.
