Basketball Recap: Union County Takes a Loss

Union County played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by the Lafayette Hornets 61-27. The Fightin' Tigers haven't had much luck with the Hornets recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.

Lafayette's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tristan Campbell led the charge by putting up nine points along with six assists and five boards. The dominant performance gave Campbell a new career-high in assists. Jada Copeland was another key player, going 5 of 6 en route to 12 points.

Union County's loss dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Lafayette, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-5.

Union County has already played their next matchup (against Baker County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Lafayette has also has no score uploaded for their next game, this one against Hamilton County.
