Soccer Game Preview: Cypress Ridge vs. Cypress Falls

The Cypress Ridge Rams will take on the Cypress Falls Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Cypress Ridge is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to four goals on Saturday, they were much more limited against Stratford on Tuesday. They lost 8-0 to the Spartans. The Rams' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, Cypress Falls was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss. They came up short against Cy-Fair, falling 6-0. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 664th, while the Bobcats are ranked 209th).

Cypress Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Cypress Falls, their loss dropped their record down to 1-19.

Everything went Cypress Ridge's way against Cypress Falls in their previous meeting back in February, as Cypress Ridge made off with a 5-0 victory. Will Cypress Ridge repeat their success, or does Cypress Falls have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
