Softball Preview: Encinal Jets vs. Berkeley Yellowjackets

After five games on the road, Encinal is heading back home. They will take on the Berkeley Yellowjackets at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Encinal will head into Wednesday's contest on the come-up: they were handed a two-run defeat in their last matchup, but they sure didn't let that happen against San Lorenzo on Wednesday. Encinal blew past San Lorenzo 16-2.

Emiko Takemoto and Cameron Tran made a splash no matter where they played. Throwing, Takemoto pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Tran pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Takemoto has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive pitching appearances.
