Basketball Game Preview: Truckee Wolverines vs. Incline Highlanders

Truckee hasn't had much luck against Incline recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Wolverines will challenge the Highlanders at 7:30 p.m. Truckee has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

On Wednesday, Truckee was beaten by South Tahoe 68-41.

Meanwhile, after low-scoring totals in their previous three matchup, Incline brought some dynamite into their most recent game. They strolled past Sparks with points to spare on Wednesday, taking the game 60-45. The Highlanders' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Truckee better keep an eye on Halen Hanson. He was instrumental in Incline's win, dropping a double-double with 26 points and 13 rebounds. What's more, Hanson also posted a 64% shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's achieved since back in February of 2025. Andrew Bodel was another key player, putting up 15 points.

With the win, Incline broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-10. As for Truckee, their loss dropped their record down to 3-9.

Truckee was dealt a bruising 67-33 defeat at the hands of Incline when the teams last played back in December of 2023. Thankfully for the Wolverines, Tommy Williams (who dropped a double-double with 32 points and ten boards) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
