Leetonia suffers third straight loss at home

Recap: Leetonia Bears vs. Heartland Christian Lions
The Leetonia Bears's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fifth straight loss. They were beaten by Heartland Christian 74-38. Leetonia has struggled against Heartland Christian recently, as their game on Saturday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the defeat, Leetonia saw an underclassman step up: Dylan Johns scored 11 points.
Leetonia's loss was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 3-14. As for Heartland Christian, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-4.
Leetonia will head out on the road to take on East Palestine at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. East Palestine has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Heartland Christian, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Academy for Urban Scholars at 7:00 p.m.
