Baseball Recap: Ellington Finds Home Field Redemption Against Windsor Locks

There's no place like home for Ellington, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Windsor Locks Raiders a 9-0 shutout on Wednesday. For the Knights, this counts as revenge for the 8-3 victory the Raiders walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.

Dylan Killoran made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over six innings pitched. Killoran was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 3-for-4.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Chris Beaudry, who went 2-for-3 with five RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Beaudry is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season. Chris Davis was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Ellington was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .433. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
