Soccer Game Preview: Richardson vs. Irving

Richardson is 0-9 against Irving since January of 2021 but things could change on Saturday. The Richardson Eagles will welcome the Irving Tigers at 2:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Richardson fell victim to Nimitz and their airtight defense on Friday. They lost 4-0 to the Vikings.

Despite a strong season so far, Irving has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of Pearce. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Tigers came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 41st, while the Mustangs are ranked 461st).

Richardson's defeat dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Irving, their loss dropped their record down to 9-3.
