Soccer Game Preview: Creston vs. Chariton

Creston and Chariton are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2016, but likely not for long. The Panthers will head out to take on the Chargers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Creston's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for eight straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Creston fell victim to Winterset and their airtight defense on Monday. They lost 6-0 to the Huskies. That's two games in a row now that Creston have lost by exactly six goals.

Meanwhile, Chariton kept a clean sheet against Clarke on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the Indians 1-0. The win continues a trend for Chariton in their matchups with Clarke: they've now won six in a row.

Creston's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6-1. As for Chariton, their victory bumped their record up to 2-5-4.

Creston came out on top in a nail-biter against Chariton when the teams last played last Tuesday, sneaking past 1-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
