Volleyball Recap: Jordan Falcons vs. Riverside-Durham Pirates

If Jordan was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of East Chapel Hill last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Jordan fell 3-1 to the Riverside-Durham Pirates on Friday. The game marked the Falcons' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Jordan couldn't get the W, but boy did they fight for it: two sets took extra rallies. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 15-25, 26-24, 26-24.

Despite the loss, Jordan saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Manuel Gatdula had six digs and four aces.

Even though they lost, Jordan was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Riverside-Durham only served nine aces.

Jacob Feller was nothing short of spectacular for Riverside-Durham: he had seven digs and two aces.

Having lost for the first time this season, Jordan fell to 4-1. As for Riverside-Durham, their win was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-1.
