Baseball Recap: Brunswick Now 7-1 over Last Eight Games

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Brunswick ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They came out on top against the Strongsville Mustangs by a score of 10-7. This was payback for the Blue Devils, who suffered a 3-2 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Ryan Maslyk looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Connor Adams was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three runs and two RBI. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Alex Hubbell, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.

Brunswick has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.4 runs over those games. As for Strongsville, their record is now 15-8.

Brunswick will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Mustangs: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
