Seventy-First's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. Everything went their way against E.E. Smith as they made off with a 5-0 win. Seventy-First haven't had any issues with E.E. Smith recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Seventy-First hit E.E. Smith with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Emerson Alvarado (2), Solomon Gilchrist, Orlando Uzcategui, and Caden Farrington.

Meanwhile, Westover was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against St. Pauls, falling 5-1. While losing is never fun, Westover can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 560th, while St. Pauls are ranked 225th).

Seventy-First's win bumped their record up to 4-10-2. As for Westover, their loss dropped their record down to 2-7.

Seventy-First suffered a grim 5-2 defeat to Westover when the teams last played back in August of 2022. Can the Falcons avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
