Softball Preview: CALS Early College Falcons vs. Los Angeles Leadership Academy Lions
The CALS Early College Falcons will head out on the road to face off against the Los Angeles Leadership Academy Lions at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. CALS Early College will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
Last Thursday, it was close, but CALS Early College sidestepped University Prep Value for an 8-7 win.
Evelyn Mendoza was excellent, scoring three runs while going 2-for-5. The team also got some help courtesy of Daniela Rivera, who scored a run while getting on base in three of her seven plate appearances.
Meanwhile, Los Angeles Leadership Academy put the finishing touches on their sixth blowout victory of the season on Tuesday. They blew past Alliance Bloomfield 21-11. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Los Angeles Leadership Academy.
CALS Early College's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-2. Those good results were due in large part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs per game. As for Los Angeles Leadership Academy, their win bumped their record up to 7-3.
