Basketball Recap: Sangamon Valley/Tri-City Takes a Loss

Sangamon Valley/Tri-City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They came up short against the Central A & M Raiders, falling 49-29. The Storm lost against the Raiders in their previous head to head back in January, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 47-4 score last time.

Sangamon Valley/Tri-City's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Central A & M, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-8 record.

Sangamon Valley/Tri-City will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Maroa-Forsyth at 6:00 p.m. on January 6, 2025. Central A & M also won't see the court for a while: their next match is against Pawnee/Calvary/Lutheran at 7:15 p.m. on January 13, 2025.
