Basketball Recap: King Picks Up Eighth Straight Win at Home

King had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.7 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They took down the Grosse Pointe North Norsemen 55-38. Given the Crusaders' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 18th, while the Norsemen are ranked 83rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

King pushed their record up to 22-5 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.9 points over those games. As for Grosse Pointe North, their defeat ended a ten-game streak of away wins and brought them to 20-6.

King has already played their next game, a 48-43 victory against Dearborn on the 4th. Grosse Pointe North does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
