Softball Recap: Tuesday's Loss Ends Clermont Northeastern's Winning Streak

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Clermont Northeastern's offense. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the East Clinton Astros on Tuesday. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Rockets' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Clermont Northeastern moved to 4-3 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for East Clinton, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Clermont Northeastern will square off against Georgetown at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The G-Men have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.5 runs per game on average), something the Rockets will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for East Clinton, they will take on Felicity-Franklin at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
