Volleyball Recap: Stagg Takes a Loss

Stagg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bear Creek Bruins. The Delta Kings were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bruins apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Stagg started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-19, 25-22, 25-8.

Despite the loss, Stagg still got an impressive performance from Daniela Vargas, who had six blocks and five kills. Vargas has been hot recently, having posted three or more blocks the last four times she's played.

Stagg's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Bear Creek, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-10 record this season.

Stagg has already played their next game (against Chavez), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Bear Creek, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against McNair on the 22nd.
