Baseball Recap: Montgomery Takes a Loss

If Montgomery was riding high fresh off their 14-4 takedown of Hargrave last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Montgomery Bears lost 11-2 to the A&M Consolidated Tigers on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Bears in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost five in a row.

Montgomery saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Karson Nelson, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Montgomery's loss dropped their record down to 11-7-3. As for A&M Consolidated, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-8-1.

While Montgomery had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
