Baseball Recap: Rubidoux Takes a Loss

Rubidoux was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They lost 18-5 to the Jurupa Valley Jaguars. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Jaguars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-0 back in March.

Carlos Encinas made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-1. He also put up an RBI, which was his first of the season. Emilio Jimenez was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

Rubidoux's loss dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Jurupa Valley, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5-1 record this season.

While Rubidoux had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday.
