Volleyball Recap: Gilroy Takes a Loss

Gilroy lost against Overfelt back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Mustangs came up short against the Royals, falling 3-0.

While Gilroy was not able to win a set, they sure kept things interesting: every set was decided by exactly two points. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 26-24, 25-23.

Gilroy's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-12. As for Overfelt, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gilroy will welcome Gunderson at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Grizzlies will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Mustangs surely won't give up without a fight. As for Overfelt, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Willow Glen at 7:00 p.m. on the 29th.
