Recap: McAdams Bulldogs vs. Kosciusko Whippets
After a string of four wins, the McAdams Bulldogs's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell to Kosciusko 36-32. McAdams was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Kosciusko apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.
Kosciusko's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jeremi Wilkes, who scored 7 points along with 5 rebounds. Andrew Mancell was another key contributor, scoring 10 points along with 9 rebounds.
McAdams' defeat dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Kosciusko, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.
McAdams will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Choctaw County at 7:30 p.m. Choctaw County has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 200 points over their last three matches. As for Kosciusko, they will head out on the road to face off against Leake Central at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Leake Central presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Kosciusko in Mississippi (Leake Central is ranked 16th, while Kosciusko is ranked 99th).
