Basketball Recap: Gallatin County Takes a Loss

Gallatin County was the 80-72 winner over South Oldham when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Gallatin County Wildcats took an 83-64 bruising from the South Oldham Dragons on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 102nd, while the Dragons are ranked 18th).

Gallatin County's loss dropped their record down to 18-8-1. As for South Oldham, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-5 record this season.

Gallatin County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for South Oldham, they will square off against Oldham County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Oldham County has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
