Morgan has gone 8-2 against South Summit recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Trojans will take on the Wildcats at 3:30 p.m. Morgan is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.7 runs per game this season.

Morgan came into this matchup off a tough 14-run loss on Tuesday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of Union by a score of 5-3 on Thursday. The defeat continues a trend for the Trojans in their meetings with the Cougars: they've now lost three in a row.

George Jensen made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple marked the first that he hit this season. Tyson Talbot was another key player, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when South Summit challenged Ogden on Thursday. The Wildcats fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Wildcats have suffered since March 11, 2024.

Owen Mair spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and three unearned) runs on eight hits.

On the hitting side, South Summit saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hayden Simmons, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI. Another was Riggen Crittenden, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI.

South Summit's defeat was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Morgan, their loss dropped their record down to 12-5.

Everything went Morgan's way against South Summit in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Morgan made off with a 13-0 victory. Will the Trojans repeat their success, or do the Wildcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
