Soccer Recap: Larkin Wins Going Away Against Belvidere

Larkin kept a clean sheet against Belvidere on Thursday. They blew past the Bucs 4-0. Given Larkin's advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 114th, while Belvidere are ranked 270th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Larkin hit Belvidere with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Javier Rosas (2), Jonathan Garcia, and Julian Miranda.

The victory got Larkin back to even at 7-7-3. As for Belvidere, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-14.

Larkin wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against Bartlett on the 11th. As for Belvidere, they are taking a road trip to challenge Rockford Auburn at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Belvidere will be up against Rockford Auburn's rather soft defense (which has allowed 5.22 goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
