Softball Recap: Parkview Baptist Find Success

Parkview Baptist got themselves on the board against E.D. White on Friday, but E.D. White never followed suit. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 1-0 win over the Cardinals. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Cardinals: they've now won seven in a row.

The result came thanks to Jalayah Slaughter's shutout, as she gave up just four hits and racked up 16 Ks. Those 16 strikeouts gave her a new career-high.

On the hitting side, Parkview Baptist saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aimee Gawlik, who went 1-for-2 with one triple.

Parkview Baptist now has a winning record of 8-7. As for E.D. White, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-7 record this season.
