Recap: Mangham Dragons vs. Oak Grove Tigers
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Mangham Dragons, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They were just a hair shy of victory on Friday and fell 31-30 to the Tigers. Mangham's loss signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.
Oak Grove's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jay Freeman, who rushed for 174 yards on only 15 carries, and also picked up 35 receiving yards. Oak Grove also got a significant boost from Jackson Bradley, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 80 yards.
Mangham's loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Oak Grove, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-2.
Mangham does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Oak Grove will take on Kentwood at TBD on Friday. Kentwood will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each game than the last.
