Baseball Recap: Narbonne Comes Up Short

Narbonne was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 9-6 to the Carson Colts. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Colts this season, with their most recent loss being a 6-5 defeat on Wednesday.

Steven Rodriguez was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. Another player making a difference was Joshua Minor, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Narbonne's loss dropped their record down to 11-15. As for Carson, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-4-1 record this season.

Narbonne didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 5-1 win against San Pedro on the 4th. As for Carson, they have also already played their next game, a 10-0 victory against Rancho Dominguez on the 4th.
