Basketball Recap: Capital Prep's Luck Changes for the Better on Friday

Capital Prep had lost seven straight headed into Friday's game, but Syre Gillespie didn't let it get to eight. The Capital Prep Trailblazers had just enough and edged the Terryville Kangaroos out 70-67 thanks in part to Gillespie, who dropped a double-double on 38 points and ten boards. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Capital Prep's points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Isaiah Hill, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 boards. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in rebounds.

Capital Prep's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2.
