Baseball Recap: West Park Has No Trouble Against Antelope

The West Park Panthers got the win against the Antelope Titans on Wednesday by a conclusive 12-5. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.

Preston Davis looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Ayden Deome, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. He has been hot recently, having posted three or more RBI the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden McNeal, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.

West Park always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .526. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Antelope only posted an OBP of .273.

West Park's record is now 9-4. As for Antelope, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-5.

West Park will have a chance to go back-to-back against Antelope: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
