Hawks jump all over Life Christian Academy of Virginia to get abbreviated 2020 season underway.

While much of Pennsylvania's high school football elite have been playing for over a month, arguably the best team has been waiting patiently on the sideline. St. Joseph's Prep (Philadelphia) finally took the field Saturday and didn't waste time making a statement.

The Hawks led 28-0 at halftime against Life Christian Academy (Chester, Va.) and went on to win 41-24. St. Joseph's Prep, ranked No. 4 nationally this week by MaxPreps, is now 53-3 since 2016. Next up is a showdown with 3-0 La Salle College, which checks in at No. 4 in the Pennsylvania Top 25 computer rankings.

Governor Mifflin (Shillington) is this week's big mover following a 56-14 victory over Exeter Township (Reading). The Mustangs are averaging 53 points per game through three outings this season and meet 0-4 Muhlenberg on Friday.

Another team making a big leap in the rankings is Aliquippa, which climbed 48 spots after a 35-6 win over Chartiers Valley. The Quips have outscored opponents in five wins this season 246-41.
