Mark Cox Turns in Season-Best Effort
On Friday, St. Johns got the W thanks in part to Mark Cox playing the best football he has all season. Cox rushed for 176 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 carries. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, forcing a fumble and making six total tackles (1.0 for loss).

Castaneda rushed for 142 yards and a touchdown on only 15 carries, and also threw for 235 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.2 yards per attempt, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.
Alchesay had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Castaneda it was a similar story. When Castaneda last faced the Falcons back in September of 2023, he threw for 208 yards and two touchdowns while completing 90% of his passes, and also rushed for 40 yards and a touchdown.

Another Game with at Least 139 Rushing Yards from Jeremiah Martinez
Jeremiah Martinez produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Pima to the win on Friday. Martinez's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his sixth straight game with at least 139 rushing yards dating back to last season. He was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 68 yards.
Pima pushed their record up to 5-1 with the victory, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. Martinez and Pima will face off against Scottsdale Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

St. Johns was led to victory by Sam Winters, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Winters rushed for 85 yards and three touchdowns.

A Season-Best Performance from Aiden Bejarano Leads Globe over St. John Paul II Catholic
On Friday, Globe got the W thanks in part to Aiden Bejarano playing the best football he has all season. Bejarano rushed for 121 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries. His longest rush was for an impressive 65 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.
The victory snapped Globe's winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 2-5 record. Bejarano and Globe will take on ALA - Anthem South at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
